So last year I was speaking at @FRONTEND_CONF in Norway. It was a brilliant conference and my first trip to Norway. I was made to feel massively welcome and the line up of speakers was awesome.

They did however face one problem. They had hired a professional comedian to host the event. On the face of it this was a good move. Getting a professional to do what is a very hard job seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately the guy misjudged the audience quite badly. The guy told sexist jokes and reduced most of the audience to a one dimensional stereotype that was socially ill-adjusted and obsessed with star wars. Combined with the ‘booth babies’ one of the sponsors decided to bring put a bit of a tarnish on an otherwise great conference.

The conference organisers have just sent me a link to this years conference (which I would highly recommend btw  because it is another awesome lineup). The link was to their 404 page. 

You have to be impressed by their honesty and sense of self deprecation. 

For this reason alone, you should attend. :)
